Job summary

University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is a mental health facility located on a 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, offering inpatient services for children, adolescents and adults.

This PD (as needed) cook role supports meal preparation for residents and staff within a regulated hospital kitchen. The position requires 1–3 years of institutional cooking experience, a high school diploma, and a Food Handlers Permit/ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years' experience cooking in a large institutional or healthcare/hospital kitchen setting.
• Certification: Food Handlers Permit / ServSafe certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to menu for residents and staff on a timely basis.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to meet health statutes of the facility.
• Operate in a patient-focused hospital environment with attention to dietary needs.
