Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an IT&S Director to lead enterprise IT alignment with hospital goals and oversee governance, cybersecurity, and strategic planning. You will manage day-to-day operations, drive digital transformation, and champion change across clinical and administrative teams.

The role requires 5+ years in IT management, healthcare experience, and strong vendor and budget oversight.

Qualifications

5+ years progressive IT management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare and multi-site or enterprise environments.
Experience with hospital IT operations, EHR systems, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and project management.
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills; ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and enterprise teams.
Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and IT staff development.
Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements in healthcare IT.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between hospital leadership and enterprise IT, ensuring local needs are represented in system-wide planning and that enterprise strategies are effectively implemented at the facility level.
Participate in enterprise governance councils and contribute to data governance, cybersecurity, and technology standards.
Lead the hospital's IT strategic planning, aligning technology initiatives with hospital and enterprise goals.
Oversee day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services; ensure high availability of clinical and business systems.
Implement and monitor IT service management processes, incident response, and change management per enterprise policies.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH and participate in audits and inspections.
Champion change management and staff training; drive adoption of new technologies.
Foster relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and enterprise IT peers; engage vendors as needed.
