Blue & Co., LLC is seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to build and lead the Internal Audit Services practice, focusing on healthcare, guiding engagement teams, and driving growth.

Based in Indianapolis or nearby markets, the role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to develop new client relationships while delivering high-quality assurance services in a dynamic, client-focused firm.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in public accounting, internal audit, advisory, or business development.
• Healthcare client experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to oversee engagements and supervise staff.
• Strong communication and business development skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 5–10% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Support practice growth through proposals, design, and thought leadership in healthcare internal audit.
• Drive best practices and efficiencies in client engagements, market growth, and workflows.
• Manage complex audit projects; oversee engagement teams; advise on controls and regulatory matters.
• Expand relationships with client and community contacts; contribute to marketing of the Healthcare practice.
• Plan, timeline, and deliverables across multiple client engagements.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of financial, operational, and IT controls.
• Develop audit programs, process flows, risk/control matrices, and workpapers.
• Identify control weaknesses; propose remediation solutions; assist client implementation.
• Plan and oversee testing of internal controls per IIA/AICPA standards.
• Assess IT risks related to EHR systems and healthcare technology environments.
• Collaborate with client leadership to monitor KPIs and revenue cycle effectiveness.
• Support the Assurance Team and Blue & Co. overall with other duties.
