Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer in Atlanta to design, develop, and implement complex health IT integrations. You will connect clinical and laboratory systems using HL7 standards, Rhapsody, and cloud-hosted solutions while collaborating with Agile teams.
The role emphasizes reliable data flow, observability, and security, with opportunities to mentor peers and grow technical skills in modern interoperability stacks.
The Opportunity: Are you looking for an opportunity to create technical synergy that will modernize and secure the flow of clinical and laboratory data across the federal health enterprise? As an integration engineer, you know the importance of ensuring clinical applications, laboratory systems, and messaging interfaces work together. You're eager to apply your health IT and interoperability knowledge to develop creative solutions. On our team, you'll design, develop, and implement solutions for software integration projects across functions or between organizations that'll directly impact patient care and public health reporting. Using HL7v2 and FHIR standards, interface lifecycle processes, and an Agile framework, you'll work alongside software development engineers to integrate laboratory information management systems, EHRs, and cloud-hosted clinical applications. You'll use tools like Rhapsody, Azure, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern observability stacks to plan, organize, and conduct integration projects that meet design specifications and standards from inception to completion. In this role, you'll impact the health mission by guaranteeing that lab results, orders, and clinical documents move reliably and securely between systems that were never designed to talk to each other and by building the monitoring and alerting that proves it. With opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing and collaborating as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. This role is located in Atlanta, GA.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
