KR Wolfe is seeking an Healthcare Installation Technician to install, integrate, service, and support medical equipment and healthcare technology systems in hospitals nationwide. The role blends construction, mechanical installation, field service, and low-voltage work, with extensive travel and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years in construction, field service, mechanical installation, low-voltage, AV integration, facilities maintenance, healthcare equipment, or related trade.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, or installation diagrams.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel nationwide.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

Install, assemble, and troubleshoot a variety of medical equipment and healthcare systems.
Perform healthcare renovation activities and equipment installation.
Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5e/6, fiber) and related cabling.
Read blueprints and installation drawings to ensure accurate installations.
Coordinate daily with project managers, field supervisors, clients, and other trades to stay on schedule.
Maintain safety, OSHA compliance, and clean work areas.
Document daily activities using company software.

Position Summary

The Healthcare Installation Technician is responsible for installing, integrating, servicing, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of medical equipment, healthcare technology systems, and renovation projects in hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide.

This position combines construction, mechanical installation, field service, and low-voltage integration. Technicians may assist with healthcare renovations, install medical equipment, run and terminate cabling, mount equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical and integrated systems depending on project assignments.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands‑on work, is comfortable traveling extensively, and is eager to learn multiple healthcare technologies and installation methods.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Install, assemble, integrate, troubleshoot, relocate, and support a variety of medical equipment, healthcare technology systems, and facility infrastructure.
Install medical equipment including surgical lights, equipment booms, anesthesia booms, displays, cameras, video routing equipment, integrated AV systems, and other healthcare technologies.
Perform healthcare renovation activities including light demolition, framing, drywall repairs, painting, cabinetry, millwork, finish work, and equipment mounting.
Pull, route, dress, label, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low‑voltage cabling, including CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, control, video, and related cable types.
Read and interpret blueprints, reflected ceiling plans, wiring diagrams, installation drawings, room layouts, and project specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment upgrades, and system testing while identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, and installation issues.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, ladders, lifts, pallet jacks, and other installation equipment.
Coordinate daily with project managers, field supervisors, clients, and other trades to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality expectations.
Verify project inventory before installation and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
Maintain accurate daily documentation including timecards, project notes, photographs, expense reports, quality inspections, punch lists, and work completion reports using company software and Microsoft Office applications.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while adhering to OSHA requirements, hospital protocols, infection control procedures, and all company safety standards.
Provide professional customer service while representing KR Wolfe with integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
Protect company and client property and maintain all required project credentials, documentation, and certifications.
Travel extensively to customer sites nationwide, including overnight, weekend, holiday, and extended travel assignments as required.

Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and installation equipment
Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, or installation diagrams
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile applications
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to travel up to 100% nationwide
Ability to lift, move, and install heavy equipment while working from ladders, lifts, ceilings, and confined spaces as needed

Preferred
