Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Housekeeper Supervisor to organize and direct the housekeeping department in a healthcare setting. The role ensures the facility is clean, safe, and comfortable for residents and staff, with emphasis on compliance and quality of service.

The supervisor will coordinate tasks, inspect daily rounds, manage supplies and budgets, and provide training to staff while upholding safety procedures and best practices in environmental control.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training required.
• Experience supervising in a hospital, long-term care center, or healthcare facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees the activities assigned to housekeeping partners.
• Inspects and conducts daily rounds to ensure duties are performed and procedures meet facility needs.
• Evaluates productivity and quality of work and identifies training needs.
• Reports occupational exposure to bodily fluids, infectious materials, or hazardous chemicals per policy.
• Ensures proper use of safety equipment by housekeeping staff.
• Reviews and assists in plans of correction for deficiencies noted during surveys.
• Maintains stock levels of housekeeping supplies.
• Participates in departmental budget planning and supplies.
• Must be able to perform all job duties of housekeeping staff.
