The role emphasizes safety, proper chemical use, and timely communication with supervisors. Experience in institutional housekeeping or floor-care equipment is helpful, and English proficiency is required to ensure clear team coordination and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions, dust mops, wet mops, or spot-mops floors.
• Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of trash properly.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Reviews Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and enforces it.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
