Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation in Columbus, Indiana is seeking Housekeeping and Laundry Assistants to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. You will secure soiled linen, transport to laundry, and ensure supplies are available to meet residents' needs.

The role requires reading and following directions in English, good communication with residents and staff, and the ability to stand, bend, lift, and work calmly under stress.

Qualifications

• Completion of elementary education or ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Ability to read and write in English, communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies and remain calm under stress.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, walk, grasp and respond to pages.

Responsibilities

• Secure soiled linen hampers and soiled personal clothing and transport to laundry in covered containers.
• Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner with required caution or safety signs.
• Ensure areas are free of hazards and that equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies are stored securely.
• Sort, fold, stack, and distribute clean laundry, linens and garments to residents.
• Follow the cleaning and work schedules as required.
• Clean and store equipment, work and supply carts properly.
