Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus seeks a dependable Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and manage laundry with attention to detail.

As a full-time daytime position with every other weekend, you will operate cleaning equipment safely and provide courteous service to residents and staff, supporting a comfortable living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred, especially in healthcare.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to proper locations.
• Label resident cloths as applicable.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow proper infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff.
