Job summary

Optalis Healthcare (Health & Rehabilitation Centers) in Columbus seeks a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide at Taylor Station to maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will perform daily cleaning of rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, assist with terminal cleanings, handle waste, and support infection control and survey readiness. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Functional literacy and ability to follow instructions.
• Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per facility standards.
• Perform terminal cleaning of resident rooms as needed.
• Clean windows, walls, ceilings, floors, and furniture according to schedules.
• Handle and dispose of waste per facility procedures.
• Monitor for pests and report concerns to supervisor.
• Assist with emergency cleaning tasks and survey preparation.
• Knowledge of infection control and housekeeping standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
• Maintain strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Respect for resident dignity and privacy.
