Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform scheduled cleaning tasks under the Housekeeping Supervisor. Responsibilities include mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window washing, furniture arrangement, and maintaining clean rooms, equipment, and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per facility protocols.
• Operates floor-care equipment safely and effectively.
• Empties trash and replaces liners; disposes of waste properly.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows as needed with appropriate chemicals and tools.
• Reports repair needs to supervisor or maintenance department.
