Job summary

Cantex Windsor Gardens in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform scheduled cleaning tasks in patient rooms and common areas, guided by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Duties include mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and window care.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily in line with Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions and may mop floors.
• Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identification and correction of safety hazards and adherence to safety rules.
• Understands and enforces policies on Abuse Prevention.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
