Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting. The role includes housekeeping, sanitation, infection prevention, and environmental services across the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in healthcare settings preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation, and infection prevention is preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience in long-term care, senior living, rehabilitation, or related healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, patient rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other assigned facility areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental hygiene standards throughout the facility.
• Follow infection control and infection prevention procedures per facility policies and standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment using approved methods and products.
• Dispose of waste according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, safety hazards, and repair needs to the appropriate department.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and assigned work areas in an organized manner.
• Follow established housekeeping schedules, sanitation requirements, and environmental services procedures.
• Support facility infection prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Assist with inspections, surveys, and quality assurance reviews.
