South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS seeks a Housekeeper I to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. This full-time role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to support infection control and high-quality care.

The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to lift items over 50 lbs. Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare is preferred, with certification in infection control a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Certification in infection control or related training.
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Follow established infection control and safety procedures to minimize risks.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in patient rooms, restrooms and common areas.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are stored safely and used properly.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
