Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in healthcare, medical, behavioral health, residential, or similar environment preferred.
• Experience with commercial cleaning products and equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, common areas, waiting areas, corridors, dining areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, wet mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste and other disposable materials.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms daily.
• Vacuum, detail, and shampoo carpeted areas as needed.
• Clean windows, walls, lights, vents, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Change curtains and drapes as needed.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow procedures for safe use, labeling, storage, and security of cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping cart and store equipment after shift.
• Follow infection-control practices and use PPE.
• Safely clean areas involving waste and potentially infectious materials.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
