Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking dynamic and talented Housekeepers to work various shifts in a hospital setting. The role includes cleaning patient areas, offices, and common spaces while maintaining health standards.

We require high school graduation or GED, good customer service, and ability to operate cleaning equipment safely. One year of prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• High school graduate or GED certification.
• Skill and aptitude to operate housekeeping equipment and tools assigned.
• Ability to understand the correct use of chemicals and supplies after training.
• Minimum of one year previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will assume responsibility for the cleaning of all assigned areas such as patient rooms, offices, school as assigned by supervisor
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
