The Citadel of Kankakee is looking for a Housekeeper to join their team. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and order.

Responsibilities include gathering trash, cleaning walls and floors, and maintaining equipment in sanitary conditions. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and some experience in housekeeping, particularly in long-term care facilities.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Previous institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
• Prior experience working in a long-term care facility a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and disposes of trash, ensuring liners are in containers.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, and other high places.
• Vacuums, dusts, and sanitizes floors daily.
