Job summary

Orchard Post AcuteVIEW is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors at our Lewiston facility. You will clean public areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and floors, and report safety concerns promptly.

We value attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team while following safety guidelines. Previous healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails and other surfaces to remove dust and debris.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas organized and sanitary.
• Report safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping or Nursing leadership.
• Notify supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
• Work independently or with a team to meet facility standards.
