Elderwood at West Roxbury Health & Rehabilitation Center in Boston is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. This full-time role emphasizes comfort, dignity, and quality of life in daily tasks.

Experience in healthcare housekeeping is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Healthcare or environmental services housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, disinfect, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment by properly storing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Dispose of trash and biohazardous waste according to facility procedures.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
• Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms and honoring personal preferences whenever possible.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and pest activity promptly.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to support exceptional resident care.
• Assist with additional housekeeping duties as assigned.
