Job summary

Artesia Palms Care Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. You will clean public areas, resident rooms, restrooms and floors and ensure supplies are stocked.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Previous experience is a plus; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Report resident safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Notify the Director when supplies need replenishment.
