KARCHER is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include cleaning lobbies, rooms, and restrooms, and following safety procedures.

Strong attention to detail and good communication are essential. The role requires ability to read procedures, follow instructions, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to remove dust and debris.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, fixtures, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Report safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping or Nursing leadership.
• Notify Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
