You will follow strict food safety practices, maintain a clean workspace, and help with delivering meals across patient floors.

The role emphasizes teamwork with cooking staff to prep for daily meal service, adherence to recipes, and documentation of kitchen temperatures.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames.
• ServSafe food safety certification as required by jurisdiction.
• Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and service of food for patients, employees and events.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment according to standards.
• Deliver food to patient floors and restock items as needed.
• Take out trash and ensure availability of clean dishes, utensils and glassware.
• Clean appliances and machines; sweep and mop floors.
• Document temperature readings of the dish machine during each shift.
