Job summary

Phoenix Health Services, LLC. is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain all floor surfaces across the facility in Maple Heights, Ohio. You will clean, buff, strip, wax, and protect floors to meet infection control standards and safety policies.

You will operate floor care equipment, report hazards, assist with moving furniture, and support evacuations as needed, while working with residents, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor care or housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor finishes, and safety procedures preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all floor surfaces, including vinyl, tile, carpet, and other flooring materials.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, scrubbers, and vacuums in a safe and efficient manner.
• Strip, wax, seal, and polish floors according to established schedules and procedures.
• Shampoo and extract carpets as needed.
• Maintain hallways, resident rooms, common areas, offices, dining rooms, and other assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow proper procedures for the use and storage of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Observe infection control, universal precautions, and safety policies while performing assigned duties.
