Job summary

IU Health is seeking an experienced Manager of Financial Accounting and Reporting to lead the preparation, analysis, and management of financial reports and budgets for its facilities. You will ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, support strategic planning, and partner with clinical and operational leaders to drive financial performance and high-quality patient care.

You will supervise a mid-size team, guide continuous process improvements, and coordinate with external vendors as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
Master's Degree is preferred (MBA, MHA, etc.).
Requires 4-6 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in healthcare.
Requires knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Must be motivated and self-driven with a continuous process improvement goal.
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
Requires the ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment.
Requires advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Requires knowledge of GAAP and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

Oversee monthly financial reporting packages (internal and external) in adherence with GAAP.
Lead annual operating budgets, projections, and variance analysis.
Oversee accounting, reporting, and budgeting function for related facilities.
Mentor and manage team members; allocate resources effectively.
Collaborate with senior leaders to resolve tactical/operational issues and drive improvements.
