Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Financial Analyst (Health) for a 6-month contract, primarily remote with occasional on-site in Albany, NY. You will analyze hospital financial statements, build Excel models, and create executive-ready PowerPoint summaries for healthcare clients.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of experience in healthcare finance, strong Excel and data-visualization skills (Tableau), and familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare programs. Public-sector experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 2-5 years of financial analysis experience.
• Strong grasp of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel with modeling and pivot tables.
• Experience presenting to clients and stakeholders; healthcare finance preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare programs.
• Government or public-sector client experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly hospital financial submissions (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Maintain and refine reporting templates and models.
• Build Excel models (cash flow, scenarios, variance) and identify trends.
• Develop executive-ready PowerPoint summaries.
• Assist with dashboards and visualizations.
• Research Medicaid, Medicare, and state funding programs.
• Support client analyst enablement (office hours and trainings).
• Contribute to monthly hospital financial analyses and summaries.
