Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance Inc. is seeking a reliable Janitor to maintain the cleanliness of medical offices and facilities in the Sacramento area.

You will perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting high-touch areas, trash disposal, restocking supplies, and assisting with event setup to keep spaces welcoming and sanitary. Candidates should have janitorial experience, knowledge of cleaning techniques, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a team.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
• Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines.
• Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.
• Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced, Inc team.
