Job summary

Pinebrook Medical Center in Nokomis, FL is seeking a Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy facility. The role includes mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, servicing restrooms, and taking out trash and recycling.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow safety procedures. Prior cleaning experience is preferred, and the position is on-site with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a Cleaner or Janitor preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Empty all trash and recycling bins, replace liners as needed, and ensure receptacles are clean.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, work areas, and high-touch surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors following the assigned cleaning route.
• Inspect areas for items of value and place anything found on the nearest table or desk.
• Report any mechanical or electrical issues to the supervisor.
• Report any items that are broken or damaged before or during your shift.
• Move cleaning carts and equipment safely from one area to another and follow the designated cleaning sequence.
• Vacuum and mop elevator lobbies, hallways, and other common areas as assigned.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order.
• Follow all safety and company procedures.
