Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct and oversee facility maintenance operations in a safe, compliant healthcare environment. You will supervise Engineering Building Supervisors and staff, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure uptime and regulatory readiness.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in engineering or related field, 5+ years of facility management experience,

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience overseeing maintenance personnel.
Experience in a hospital, healthcare, or complex institutional environment preferred.

Responsabilités

Direct, supervise, and evaluate Engineering Building Supervisors and maintenance staff engaged in facility maintenance and repair activities.
Plan, organize, and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance operations, including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs.
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests, repairs, and capital improvement projects to minimize operational disruptions.
Collaborate with internal engineering staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair work.
Conduct routine rounds of assigned facilities and areas of responsibility to assess building conditions, identify deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with hospital leadership, department stakeholders, and customers to ensure service expectations and Service Level Agreements are achieved.
Monitor work order systems and maintenance performance metrics to ensure efficient service delivery and operational effectiveness.
Manage departmental staffing, scheduling, time and attendance, performance evaluations, employee development, and disciplinary actions in accordance with organizational policies.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and healthcare regulatory requirements, including The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, DOH, OSHA, and life safety codes.
Lead departmental preparation and response efforts for regulatory agency inspections, audits, and accreditation surveys.
Review inspection findings, develop action plans, and ensure timely resolution of compliance-related issues.
Assist in developing departmental operating and capital budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Promote a culture of safety, customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the department.
Participate in emergency response activities and provide operational support during facility emergencies, system failures, and adverse weather events.
