Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including machine scrubbers and carpet cleaners.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate clearly with staff.
• Ability to work independently and understand facility layouts.
• Perform tasks without disrupting healthcare operations and patient care.
• Set priorities and follow department policies and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for log and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean furniture, floors and surfaces using power equipment and floor finishes.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report safety hazards or repairs.
• Use chemicals safely and reference MSDS as needed.
• Set up rooms for meetings and deliver audiovisual equipment.
• Clean patient care areas, restrooms, lobbies, and offices; manage terminal cleanings.
• Dispose of recyclables, trash and waste following infection control guidelines.
• Sort and stock linens and prepare soiled textiles for transport.
