Job summary

Pinnacle Healthcare Environmental Services is seeking an EVS Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment in surgical services and Pac U areas. The role emphasizes cleaning, disinfection, and quality assurance to reduce pathogens for patients and staff.

This per diem, on-call position requires open availability in the AM and PM. Location is Mahwah, NJ. Pay is $19.00 per hour, with full benefits available to eligible staff under Pinnacle’s programs.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English.
• Knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfection basics.
• Ability to follow safety and infection control standards.
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning and disinfection of specialty units & equipment in Surgical Services, Endoscopy, Pac U.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of cleaning/disinfection principles, proper chemical use, and equipment handling.
• Adheres to safety, risk management and infection control standards to promote a safety culture.
• Maintains logs and checklists current for duties performed.
• Cleans and disinfeсts equipment and areas per procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
• Keeps EVS cart stocked and organized; handles waste properly (regulated medical, recycle, etc.).
• Follows HIPAA privacy requirements and participates in ongoing training related to evidence-based guidelines.
