Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an EVS Tech II to support hospital operations in Illinois. You will perform cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, offices, and common areas, while following safety and isolation protocols.

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
Must exhibit the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be able to work independently.
One to three years of environmental services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, and other assigned areas daily.
Follows policies on patient isolation and contact precautions.
Stocks paper items and supplies in assigned areas as necessary.
Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition.
Promotes safety in the workplace with PPE and warning signs.
Uses chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
Notifies supervisor of equipment repairs and safety hazards.
Communicates issues and coordinates with supervisors and staff.
Demonstrates teamwork and respectful collaboration across departments.
