Job summary

Aramark Healthcare+ seeks an Environmental Services Manager for Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, CT. The EVS Manager oversees housekeeping, linen distribution, pest control, waste removal, floor care and patient room cleaning to support safety and cleanliness standards.

The role includes conducting rounds with patients, service recovery, quality audits and cross-department communication, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare Environmental Services Management experience preferred.
• 2–5 years in a management role.
• Floor care experience and knowledge of equipment/chemicals.
• Experience managing janitorial, custodial or housekeeping operations will be considered.
• Strong leadership, safety, quality and service excellence required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department (Housekeeping).
• Oversees Linen Distribution.
• Distributes supplies, holds shift huddles, scheduling and training. Monitors performance.
• Manages pest control, floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the building, and patient room cleaning.
• Conducts rounding with patients, service recovery, quality audits and inspections.
• Communicates and builds relationships with other department leaders.
