Job summary

Trinity Health-ND is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas while adhering to infection prevention standards. The role involves safe operation of vacuums, floor machines, and carts, with duties including waste removal and replenishing supplies.

You will interact respectfully with patients and staff, ensuring privacy and safety. Prior housekeeping or healthcare cleaning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Prior housekeeping, healthcare, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team, and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, corridors, and support areas according to established schedules and procedures.
• Remove waste, soiled linens, and recycling following infection prevention and safety guidelines.
• Operate environmental services equipment safely (vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carts).
• Replenish soap, sanitizer, paper products in patient rooms and public areas.
• Report maintenance, safety, or infection control concerns promptly to the appropriate staff.
• Provide courteous, respectful communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers, while maintaining privacy.
