State of North Carolina - Health & Human Services seeks a Housekeeper to perform cleaning and minor maintenance in Cherry Hospital facilities, including patient bedrooms, bathrooms, classrooms and dayrooms. Shifts include 7:00 am–4:00 pm, 1:00 pm–9:30 pm, and 10:00 pm–6:30 am; weekend and holiday assignments may apply.

Candidates must read, write and follow instructions, have the stamina for long walking and lifting up to 50 lbs, and pass pre-employment checks and a vaccination policy.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning procedures.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to visually inspect work area to ensure it has been cleaned.

Responsabilités

• Clean showers, commodes, and lavatories daily.
• Wash beds, bedside tables and other furniture as needed.
• Wash windows, screens and blinds; wash walls.
• Push heavy carts of laundry to the central linen room; move heavy furniture and clean behind it.
• Serve at assigned work areas according to daily schedule, including weekends and holidays.
