Job summary

Muleshoe Area Medical Center is seeking a Housekeeper/Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across hospital facilities.

You will support infection prevention initiatives, patient satisfaction goals, workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and organizational quality standards through effective cleaning, disinfection, and environmental maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Previous healthcare housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and public areas according to facility standards.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies; use PPE as required.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and handle chemicals per SDS.
• Receive, store, and distribute linen supplies; replenish housekeeping products.
• Interact professionally with patients, visitors and staff, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
