Mercyhealth is seeking a dedicated environmental services technician to perform thorough cleaning of patient areas, offices, and common spaces in accordance with safety standards. The role includes dusting, mopping, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies, with attention to isolation procedures and pathogen control.

Strong teamwork and reliability are essential in this hospital support function. High school diploma preferred and prior cleaning experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors, showers.
• Adheres to organizational policies and isolation procedures.
• Maintains EVS closet, cart, and equipment; reports hazards and repairs.
• Replenishes paper, soap supplies, and hand sanitizer.
• Moves furniture and equipment per safety procedures.
• Mixes and stores chemicals with proper PPE and dilution.
• Uses Xenex UV light where available and maintains bed areas in EPIC.
