Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a facility cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary environment across Virtua facilities in Camden, NJ. You will clean, remove trash, distribute linen, and set up rooms according to protocols, while following universal precautions to protect patients and staff.

You will also safely dispose of regulated medical waste and chemicals, perform other duties as assigned, and possibly take on linen tasks or work at other facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to speak English required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains Virtua facilities as directed, including cleaning, removing trash, linen distribution and room set up.
• Maintains universal precautions to ensure patient and employee safety.
• Safely handles and disposes of regulated medical waste, and other trash.
• Responsible for proper chemical usage and maintaining a safe environment, including storage of chemicals.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May assume linen responsibilities as required.
• May be required to work in other facilities as assigned.
