Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of Environmental Services Technician I experience or similar in a health care setting.
• One year in floor care cleaning, refinishing, carpet cleaning, and operation/repair of equipment including burnisher, scrubber and vacuum.

Responsibilities

• Removing filled sharps containers from patient care areas.
• Servicing collection points and managing removals from soiled utility rooms.
• Transporting and processing waste according to regulatory requirements.
• Providing a safe, clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Performing departmental floor care and sanitation tasks and related duties.
