Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 1 year previous patient care experience preferred.
• Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
• High School Diploma or equivalency preferred.

Aufgaben

• Maintains cleanliness and disinfection in patient care, ancillary, and public areas including patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges and restrooms.
• Follows the 5-Step Cleaning process; duties include dust mopping, damp mopping spills, floor reconditioning, wall spot washing, and complete cleaning of patient rooms and furniture.
• Operates cleaning equipment and supplies used by the department.
• Moves heavy objects for cleaning and disposes of medical and regular waste properly.
• Performs hand hygiene before and after transporting patients; wears laboratory coat during transport.
• Escorts patients within the Medical Center and assists Nursing with lifting when requested.
• Transports deceased patients to morgue; maintains records of assignments with signatures.
• Ensures safety and comfort of patients and keeps equipment clean and in good repair.
• Participates in mandatory educational/in-service programs; adheres to Code of Conduct and infection control standards.
