Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking an Environmental Aide in Smithfield, VA. The role focuses on cleaning patient rooms, corridors, and related areas to meet infection control standards and RHS policies.

You will restock supplies and assist with maintaining a safe, orderly environment for patients and staff. The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED (preferably) and about 1 year of healthcare housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 1 year housekeeping/environmental services experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• AED certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas and related spaces using appropriate cleaners and methods.
• Restocks supplies and maintains carts and inventory.
• Follows RHS and state regulatory standards for infection control and safety.
• Ensures safe, clean, and organized work environment and proper handling of chemicals.
