Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking an Environmental Aide to perform cleaning and housekeeping across patient and facility areas in a hospital environment. You will ensure a neat, clean, and safe work area, restock supplies, and assist team members with moving equipment and beds. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of healthcare housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Education High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• Experience 1 year prior housekeeping/environmental services experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred).
• Licenses and Certifications Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/AHA/ARC (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Cleans all assigned areas in patient and facility spaces using approved cleaning methods.
• Uses correct cleaners and safely stores/labels chemicals.
• Restocks supplies and cleans carts daily to maintain smooth operations.
• Ensures areas stocked with paper goods, soaps, chemicals and reusable supplies.
• Maintains infection control standards and RHS policies during cleaning tasks.
• Responds to resident/customer requests promptly and communicates concerns to appropriate departments.
• Follows safety practices aligned with National Patient Safety Goals and RHS procedures.
