Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Associate to assist with planning, implementing, and auditing EHS programs across ergonomics, industrial hygiene, biosafety, hazardous materials, and fire safety. The role includes conducting readiness inspections, coordinating with fire departments, and supporting regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or safety field.
• OR Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in an environmental health and safety field or applicable healthcare area.
• Valid State driver’s license
• Must have own transportation to/from remote job sites

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, implementation, and auditing of environmental health and safety programs.
• Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and high loss potential incidents.
• Conduct site investigations, root cause analyses and corrective action recommendations.
• Conduct training on various EHS topics (classroom and small groups).
• Perform audits of EHS programs and practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or safety field
