Job summary

Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee Food & Nutrition Services across the hospital and skilled nursing facility. This hands-on leadership role combines team supervision with daily operations, supporting patient meals, cafeteria, and production activities.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of supervision in food service, strong computer skills, and a collaborative, proactive approach to problem solving in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum supervisor experience in food/hospitality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email, Internet).
• Willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities.
• Interpersonal skills to handle confidential information and work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary aides, diet office associates, cooks and student aides.
• Plan and conduct service trainings for the department.
• Oversee quality reports and updates to manuals and forms.
• Manage tray line, room service, cafeteria, coffee shop and catering operations.
• Ensure proper receiving and storage techniques.
• Orient new staff and enforce food safety policies.
