Qualifications

• Prior experience in a food service or healthcare dining preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, recipes, menus, labels, and diet cards.
• Ability to follow dietary restrictions, allergies, portions, and resident preferences.
• Strong verbal communication skills and professional grammar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Follow break-down sheets, diet information, and other prep instructions.
• Prepare various diet textures as required (regular, puréed, etc).
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards in kitchen, dining, and service areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment and store dishes and supplies properly.
• Assist with inventory, training, and covering shifts as needed.
