Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Cook for our brand-new facility in Pinehurst, NC. You will prepare and serve meals, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, following dietary orders and nutritional standards under the guidance of the CDM.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to schedules, and maintaining a clean kitchen while ensuring high-quality patient-centered food service. Healthcare kitchen experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing texture-modified diets and therapeutic menus.
• Knowledge of nutrition and food safety best practices.
• Ability to read and apply food tray cards and dietary orders.
• Experience in a healthcare kitchen is a plus.
• Certification or training in dietary management is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to the facility menu and dietary orders.
• Follow federal, state, and local guidelines and CDM directions to ensure quality service.
• Remain organized, professional, and a team player.
• Assist dietary aides and supervise in the absence of the CDM.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly kitchen and work area.
• Read and apply tray card requirements accurately.
• Interact positively with residents, families, and staff.
• Prior healthcare kitchen experience is preferred.
