Job summary

Turning Point Care Center, a UHS facility in Moultrie, GA, is seeking a dependable Dietary Cook for PRN shifts. You will prepare meals meeting patient dietary needs, ensure food safety, and collaborate with dietitians and care teams to plan nutritious menus.

The role requires a high school diploma (culinary degree preferred) with ServSafe preferred, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays. Expect 10-hour shifts with patient-centered meal service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary degree or certification preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Proven experience as a Cook in healthcare, institution, or restaurant.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and guidelines.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes.
• Ability to prepare meals with dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Georgia Driver's License with clean driving record and restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals per dietary guidelines and patient needs.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and special dietary requirements.
• Ensure high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene.
• Collaborate with dietitians and care team to tailor meals.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies.
• Maintain kitchen and dining areas, following hygiene protocols.
• Participate in special events and themed meals.
• Serve approximately 120 meals per mealtime.
• Review day’s menu and prep area at shift start.
