Job summary

NBBJ New York is seeking an Intermediate Medical Planner to lead design and planning of complex healthcare facilities, including large hospitals and ambulatory care centers. You will collaborate with a diverse team of medical planners, architects, interior designers and clinical consultants from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of healthcare planning experience and an architectural degree.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years healthcare planning experience on hospitals and clinics.
• B Arch degree required; M Arch preferred.
• Architectural Registration strongly preferred; LEED Accreditation a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and planning of hospitals and clinics
• Work with clients to identify objectives and formulate options
• Participate in the conceptual design of healthcare projects
• Lead Clinical User Group meetings and client presentations
• Translate client operational model into architectural design/medical plans
• Collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through Construction
• Coordinate or prepare drawings and designs per best practice
• Apply governing regulatory codes and hospital licensing standards
