Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking a HealthCare Data Analyst for a remote Contract-To-Hire role. You will leverage advanced SQL, Databricks, and Tableau to design analytical solutions and deliver actionable insights across clinical, financial, and operational domains.

You will work with executives and partners, translate business needs into data-driven conclusions, and mentor junior analysts on analytics best practices.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience within delivery networks, health plans, or clinical systems.
• Proven ability to write, test, and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering and analytics.
• Strong Tableau dashboard design and data visualization skills.

• Proven problem-solving with ambiguous business questions.

• Advanced Data Querying & Analysis: develop and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines in Databricks for large healthcare datasets.
• Dashboards & Self-Service Analytics: design and deploy Tableau dashboards to track program performance and outcomes.
• Requirements & Consultative Engagement: collaborate with partners to define analytics requirements and present data-backed recommendations.
• Healthcare Domain Delivery: analyze medical expense, utilization, quality metrics, population health, and provider scoring.
• Data Quality & Governance: monitor data accuracy and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentorship & Leadership: mentor junior analysts and onboard new team members.

Job Description:

In this high-impact role, you will leverage advanced SQL, Databricks, and Tableau to design complex analytical solutions, build interactive dashboards, and deliver actionable insights across clinical, financial, and operational domains.

As a subject matter expert, you will work directly with internal executives, operational leaders, and external provider partners to translate business needs into data-driven conclusions, while also mentoring junior analysts on the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Data Querying & Analysis: Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and data pipelines within Databricks from scratch to analyze large-scale, multi-domain healthcare datasets.


• Dashboards & Self-Service Analytics: Design, build, and deploy intuitive Tableau dashboards and reporting tools that track program performance, operational metrics, and clinical outcomes for end-user adoption.


• Requirements & Consultative Engagement: Collaborate directly with business partners to define analytics requirements, design ad-hoc studies, and present clear, data-backed recommendations to executive stakeholders.


• Healthcare Domain Delivery: Conduct in-depth analysis across key integrated health system domains, including:
  
  
  • Medical expense, utilization, and financial trend analysis
  
  
  • Quality measurement (HEDIS reporting, STAR ratings, and clinical gaps)
  
  
  • Population health, risk stratification, and patient segmentation
  
  
  • Network management, value-based contracting, and provider scoring
  
  
  • Ambulatory, acute, and post-acute clinical performance metrics
  
  


• Data Quality & Governance: Perform data stewardship functions, monitor data accuracy, validate metrics, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.


• Mentorship & Leadership: Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expertonboarding new team members and mentoring junior analysts in query logic, data visualization, and healthcare analytics best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Healthcare Experience: Strong background working within an integrated delivery network, health plan, or clinical health system. Deep familiarity with healthcare data structures, claims, and clinical concepts.


• Advanced SQL: Proven expertise writing, testing, and tuning complex SQL queries from scratch (joins, CTEs, window functions, conditional aggregation) rather than simply modifying existing code.


• Modern Data Stack (Databricks): Hands-on experience working with Databricks for data engineering, querying, and processing enterprise-scale healthcare datasets.


• Data Visualization (Tableau): Strong proficiency designing, building, and maintaining interactive Tableau dashboards and visual analytics.


• Communication & Engagement: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the consultative ability to translate technical data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.


• Problem-Solving: Proven track record of independently navigating ambiguous business questions and delivering structured, analytical solutions.
