Job summary

SL Recruit is seeking a Healthcare Focused Superintendent for a respected general contractor. The role is based in Tampa, Jacksonville or Miami, overseeing healthcare projects across Florida.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, leading field teams, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining logs. Ideal candidate has 5+ years as superintendent on mid-scale commercial work, healthcare project experience preferred, and willingness to travel across Florida.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience on mid-scale commercial projects ($1M–$15M+).
• Experience with Healthcare projects preferred.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Bluebeam, Procore, or similar).
• Willingness to travel within Florida as project needs dictate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations at assigned construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Lead, mentor, and manage field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment logistics, and site inspections to maintain project momentum and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, maintain detailed daily logs, and report regularly to project managers and company leadership.
