Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking an Operations Specialist focused on end-to-end testing of new code in the production environment. You will create test cases to detect defects, validate claims downstream impacts, and ensure output integrity, working with multiple teams to improve efficiency.

The role emphasizes collaboration, independent work, and adherence to policy guidelines. A hybrid workplace requires in-office presence two days each week, with arrangements based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience
• Understanding of healthcare claims processing required
• Experience with user acceptance testing preferred
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Jira preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Requires critical thinking and problem solving
• Strong prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing to identify defects in new code
• Create test cases to prevent or identify incorrect logic and processing issues
• Collaborate with claims teams and other teams to develop solutions
• Report to the manager and work independently as needed
